Popular resources tell women that we must constantly diet. That we must always strive to look better and “fix our flaws,” and that how we look is the most important thing about us. But that is nonsense.
If you’re like most readers of this website then you know all too well what it’s like following obsessive diets and punishing yourself with grueling workouts. Heck, you’ve probably even tried numerous diets, cleanses, and workout programs too.
I’ve been there and done that: tried dozens of diets and avoided a long list of foods, and it left me with disordered eating habits. I’ve punished myself with workouts and focused on nothing but “fixing my flaws” and hating how my body looked. Thankfully, I got off that roller-coaster of guilt, shame, and obsession and chose to use health and fitness as a tool to live a better life, and become the best version of myself.
It was this journey that ignited my passion as a personal trainer to help my clients choose the empowering approach to health and fitness. No diets, guilt, shame, or grueling, time-consuming workouts required.
How you eat and move your body should be enjoyable, and make your life less stressful. It should make you feel better about yourself and make you appreciate your body not just for how it looks, but for what it can do. It should be part of your life, and shouldn’t dominate it.
That’s what this website is all about: Arming you with bullshit-free information so you can achieve the results you want, feel great about yourself, and enjoy how you eat and move your body. It’s an empowering lifestyle, not a temporary fad.
