Training with the Girls

Well, it's 2010. How has your New Year been going?

Last week I asked you: What Are You Going to Achieve? Do you have some answers yet?

Me and the ladies decided to kick things off right at the beginning of this wonderful new year. To celebrate we headed to the gym to dominate some weights.

There were heavy deadlifts, heavy bench presses, pull-ups, military presses, rows, and of course - squats.

Here's a clip of Kristy dominated 225 pounds. She could have easily pulled more, but she took a break from deadlifting for a couple of months and was "easing back into it".

Kristy is a prime example of why women should train for strength. When I first started training her, she wasn't worried about losing weight. Her focus was set on improving her performance in every workout, and getting stronger.

Not only has she achieved her goal, but she has lost 29 pounds in three months when she followed Fat Loss Detour. In her words she "lost weight without trying" when she used this method.

So come on ladies and gentlemen. Get excited, set some goals, create a plan, and take ACTION!

What goals do you have for the New Year?

Thanks for the compliment. She's going to deadlift again this weekend, and it will definitely be more than 225.

I agree with you. If people focused on performance then they will achieve their goals whether it's fat loss, getting stronger, or gaining muscle.

As usual, thanks for the comments!

Nice post! You ladies really know how to appeal to a guy, 225 is a good pull, she is doing really well and looks very feminine. Even for people who don't care that much about performance they still need to be taught that you have to improve to improve body comp, if today you can do 5 pushups and in 3 weeks you can do 2 sets of 10, then you are doing things in that area to improve body comp. Instead the mainstream is taught that you determine the effectiveness of workouts/program by how many calories you burn during the session or by how little of a chance the program may bulk you up. In other words as long as it's 100% bulk proof then that means it will "tone".
