Bodyweight Swing Set Workout

Bodyweight Park Workout Bodyweight Park Workout

Once again, you don't need any equipment, or a gym, to burn fat and build the body you want.

All you need is your bodyweight.

With that in mind, it's the perfect time of year to get outside and workout. If you have kids (or a dog) you can go to a local park and get in a great workout using a swing set.

Check out the video for a fast workout you can do with a swing set (you may have to kick some kids off first . . .)

Yep, that was my crazy dog. She snuck away while I was filming the video to eat garbage.

Anyway, the video demonstrates that you can be creative with your workouts. You don't need any fancy equipment; just make due with what is available to you.

All you need to do is come up with a training plan and commit to it. For more information on what you need for success, check out Want Fat Loss Success to help you out.

If you don't want to come up with your own workouts, I definitely recommend you check out bodyweight workouts. You will get a DVD with the information. This does cost $247, but it is worth the investment if you are serious about working out at home.

If that is too much, then definitely check out this bodyweight workout program. I just came across this one and it only costs $57.

Get a plan and commit to it.

    Ian-

I haven't done towel pullups in a while, but you're right, they're damn tough on the grip. Thanks for sharing. : )

    Nia-

Cool idea with the swings. It seems like their unstable nature would activate all sorts of stabilizer muscles and be a lot more difficult than the standard exercises.

I love working out on playgrounds. One piece of simple equipment that you can throw in as well is a rolled up towel.

Just throw it over any overhead object (beam, tree branch, swing crossbeam) and do some pullups that will tax your grip strength!

    Thanks again for the post,

    Ian

I actually started using my sons' swing set to do a similar workout not too long ago after reading up on bodyweight exercises. I thought I was being innovative, but it looks like I'm not as original as I thought, haha. Anyway, great post. Bodyweight exercises are awesome!

    Hi Nia,

This is a great idea I hadn't thought about. I'm a lover of long walks AND swings, and getting my exercise out in the sunshine. Its also a great way for parents to get some extra value from those swing sets they bought for their kids.

Whoever said the swing set is for the kids? After performing this swing set workout, you'll find me playing on the swings with the kids. This workout kicked my butt! Very fast, effective, fun, and costs nothing! Your dog is the cutest thing I've ever seen.

    Hi Nia

I would be honoured to have such an elegant hound gracing my videos. Even if he has a penchant for garbage.

    Ha! I very much agree.

I'll probably include her in most of them from now on. Anytime I'm outside she is always with me. I just have to make sure she doesn't eat any garbage . . .
