Dancing with Our Stars

This past weekend my Mom competed in the local Dancing with Our Stars event (Paducah, Kentucky’s version of the television show Dancing with the Stars). This event was presented by Lourdes’ Relay for Life Team and was a fund raiser for the American Cancer Society.

The event was personal for my Mom, because she has lost loved ones to cancer, and she has fought a fervent defensive battle herself that included a double mastectomy. You can get more information on her incredible story in Interview with My (S)hero.

Many of you donated to this great cause, and for that I thank you very much. Your support was greatly appreciated and will not be forgotten.

And for those who sponsored my Mom, she did not disappoint! She and her dance partner performed the Argentine Tango. To say they did an incredible job is an understatement.

This Beautiful Badass can do it all. She’s been a competitive runner, a champion bodybuilder (which today would be considered a figure competitor), a two time world record setting powerlifter, and now she can add dancer to her list of ablities and achievements. I’m just waiting to see what she does next!
